Our goal was to find a 3-bedroom house in a vibrant neighborhood with decent school options. Unfortunately, it seemed like everyone else was also looking for this and apparently had way more money than we did. We looked for over a year, going to open house after open house each weekend. Susan is also really responsive, answering emails and text messages almost immediately if not on the same day. She was even responsive when she was away on vacation, which I didn't expect but was very helpful when we needed to submit offers. In the end, the home we ended up getting was one that she found for us. The house wasn't correctly priced (too high) so the house sat on the market for months and scared away buyers. Lucky for us, the listing agent was in her network and when they eventually lowered the price, she gave us the scoop that the house was actually in good shape and worth considering. We looked at it the weekend the price was lowered, put an offer in that night, and within two days of back-and-forth had our offer accepted. We've lived in our new house for about a month and couldn't be happier. Susan told us that the house was remodeled and in great shape, and every inspector and contractor we've had look at it since has told us the same thing. Our neighborhood (around Lake Merritt) is also super cool.
